Kathleen Hicks, CEO

Kathleen Hicks was the chief executive officer (CEO) for Absolute Power Computing (APC) formed in 1995, as an independent computer and network support company. In 1998, APC moved to Texas to establish itself as a premiere network and computer consulting firm, focused on integrating modern information technology (IT) with the business needs of its clients.

Kathleen is certified at the Master level on all Microsoft Office products. She also holds numerous technical certifications. She has been a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer since Windows NT 4.0, and she is certified as a systems administrator on several Sun Solaris platforms. Kathleen specializes in database design, administration, and data warehousing, holding certifications in multiple versions of Oracle, Informix, and Microsoft SQL. Kathleen is also a certified technical trainer through CompTIA and is an active Microsoft Certified Trainer.

Kathleen majored in English literature and communications. She is also Red Cross certified, volunteering to teach first aid and life saving skills. She also volunteers at the local animal shelters.

Rho Chalmers, Operations Manager

Rho Chalmers was the founder and owner of Mouse Calls Computer Service. Mouse Calls was primarily a home-office/home user/mobile user business that focused on Mac, PC and programming. Mouse Calls has served the Austin Area since 1993 as a part of Good Works Construction. AMCS was formed in 2007 to combine the resources of APC and Mouse Calls Computer Service. As a result, AMCS truly understands the needs of small, very-small and mobile businesses.

Rho Chalmers has mentored under several local computer gurus and has years of real world experience. She immensely enjoys troubleshooting strange and difficult problems in systems, websites and software. Rho also loves to play with multiple operating systems, web languages and Visual Basic. She still remembers how to use Windows 3.11.

Rho holds the MCP, MCTS, MCSA and MCSE certifications.

You can often find Rho at local coffee shops where she is always willing to answer questions for more caffeine.
